Hi Families!

Our plans have changed somewhat as our flight leaving Miami (scheduled for a 1155PM departure) was delayed due to mechanical issues until Monday morning. We're now on the 845 AM flight (same flight number) to Lima. We all feared the worst (spending the night in the airport) until LAN airlines came through and put us up in the beautiful Wyndham hotel and also gave us a delicious complimentary dinner and breakfast buffet. We'll head back to the airport at 630 (just a few short hours away) and depart for Lima about 8 hours behind schedule.

We may still be able to make a connection in Lima to our final destination (Cuzco) but if not, we will be escorted by World Leadership Staff to a hotel for the night and catch the first plane we can on Tuesday morning. Everyone at the airlines has been so helpful and I was relieved to see an email from Erin at the World Leadership School before we even landed in Miami. Everyone is working hard to make sure we have accommodations and the earliest flight to Cuzco possible. We are well taken care of, your students are definitely troopers, and have been so patient as we've worked out our plans for the next few hours. Erin will be updating the blog as she finds out our final plans on to Cuzco.

Katie & I will have our cell phones on until the flight departs tomorrow morning if you need to reach us.
